Allwyn partners with IWG and will hold 70% stake in business

Allwyn, a multinational lottery operator based in Switzerland, has recently announced a collaboration with Instant Win Gaming (IWG) to strengthen its content offerings.

The partnership aims to capitalise on IWG's experience as a supplier of online instant win games for lotteries to improve Allwyn's overall gaming portfolio. 

Allwyn's collaboration with IWG will involve working closely with IWG's co-founders, Rhydian Fisher and Simon Bucknall, to explore new opportunities in the online instant win games sector.

Stepan Dlouhy, Allwyn CIO, said: “Allwyn’s agreement with IWG will enable us to create and leverage high-quality content throughout the group. This demonstrates our ambition to deliver the best user experience to players across our international markets and to be the operator of choice. The investment structure involves Allwyn acquiring a 70% stake in IWG, with funding drawn from Allwyn's existing financial resources. The closure of the investment is set for the second half of 2024, subject to customary closing conditions.

This partnership follows recent developments for Allwyn, including securing the Fourth National Lottery Licence.
